Slight delay of a week on installation but it didn`t cause us a problem. Companion did a great job and they are a very friendly company who talk to you on a human level. Mum is benefiting from the stairlift.

I was quite surprised by how much the price reduced. They gave the impression at point of sale that they could do it quicker, but it actually took a fortnight which was ok for us in the end. The installer was very good and very tidy and I would say the quality is very good.

Very disappointed with Companion and their Customer Services. Initially the Surveyor quoted a 5 day turn round which kept being delayed due to engineer not being able to get the stairlift and then engineer not being able to do electrics. The installation in the end took 2 weeks. We found it very hard to get hold of anyone from Companion after the deposit had been paid and the communication and after Sales was very bad.

Initially there were a few problems due to poor communication from the Customer Service department. The Stairlift was due to be installed 9am in the morning and my mother waited in all day with no call from Companion to say engineer wasn`t coming. Eventually an engineer turned up at 4pm after numerous calls to find out what was going on. The Engineer himself was brilliant 10/10 and the product is very good but the communication from Customer Services is very poor.

Although there was a delay of two week on the delivery Companion did a very good job. The Stairlift was for a friend and he has found it easy to use and is enjoying it.

Price went down from £5000-3500 which is questionable. The Salesman said we would have the curved stair lift within 12 days when it actually took 3-4 weeks so they never met their promise. The installation itself was very good and efficient, engineers were very nice and have been back 3 times due to faults with batter pack etc..; they are clearly very busy as they often haven`t kept their times either.. The stair lift came with a number of marks on it, which we lived with for a further reduction in the price. It really hasn`t been the easiest of experience.

Companion did exactly what they said they would. The Sales Rep was extremely good. We compared them with other companies and they were outstanding.

I have definitely noticed the water has been softened, I am very happy with the service and the product.

I just have a question about the water now its softened. The water smells a little but other than that its all worked as far as I can see.

Very good and thorough engineer. He even did a little shelf for me under the cupboard. The quality is great. We have noticed an improvement. I was told I would need to change the salt 2 weeks after the installation, but 5 weeks later its still going fine, that`s the only thing I find strange.

Top notch. Chair is very comfortable and very happy with it, no problems. 5 star customer service.

They installed the wrong seat, they quoted for a 950 plus and installed the 900 by mistake, even though I called 3 times beforehand to make sure all was correct. The job wasn`t finished tidy because they left a grease mark on the wall opposite. After the 3rd attempt at installation, I would now give the quality of the stair lift 5/5 but due to the full story and the errors, I cannot recommend the company. The promised return calls have not always been received, although they seem apologetic whenever I made contact. The whole experience wasn`t an easy one for my 95 year old mother.
