The engineer that fitted the stair lift was a bit short and abrupt when fitting, the Estimator that gave us the quote said it was no problem to fit, yet the fitter said he would not use the power point in the next room as he would not drill a hole in the wall to access the power point in the other room, the Estimator said nothing about the access to power was a problem. I chose Acorn because they offered a rental option on their stairlift (with an option to purchase at a later date) - a perfect solution if you are unsure how long a stairlift may be required/used. Add to that a 14 day, no quibble, cooling off period and it was the perfect solution to try before you commit. The customer service was prompt and helpful throughout. I would thoroughly recommend!

After 2 weeks my wife Unexpectedly died, after contacting Acorn to see if they could take it away for a partial refund all I got was a packet of stickers to advertise the stairlift in shop windows and they would charge me £499 to take it away and refit somewhere else, Thanks for the sympathy Acorn, would I recommend? NO
