local company providing reconditioned £950. supply and install with yearly service for £78. will remove when no longer required. i have very severe Copd and am now struggling to climb stairs. totally happy.
Had this stairlift in for Two months. Positives are. Good price and quick installation. Negatives. Some aspects of the installation are shoddy and the biggest issue for the chair user is lack of reliability. In two months this stairlift has broken down twice. Response to the issues is good but on two occasions the user has been left stranded on the stairs. Clearly the user has lost confidence in using the stairlift.
4 call outs in the first month not a good start
We can now go upstairs and downstairs without having the pain and we will no longer have to move.
I can thoroughly recommend Acorn Stairlifts. It has made a huge difference to my life, From my first contact through to installation Acorn staff have been first class. Having a very arthritic knee, I now have no worries about getting up and down stairs. Absolutely wonderful.

As we have 2 bends for our staircase, we have had to have one with an extending arm to reach the hall floor. It is very slow in performance as the lift has to wait for it to lower itself down. It would be better if it could lower whilst the stairlift is in action coming downwards, rather than wait for it.
All in all it is very comfortable and very well made. Service for fitting it was excellent and quick. A good buy.
