The craftmatic is a well built bed but does not have a great range of movement. Only the back top 1/3 of the bed rises to the reclining position, the lower third at the feet rises, but the massage was more of a shocking, using offset weights. I never found it helpful in looking after my mother. A waterproof valance might save the carer hours when cleaning the bed.

The bed a king size adjustable double is comfortable and your wife/ partner moving around will not disturb you due to separate mattresses. The only downside is that the bed could be a little longer as you tend to slide down when top half of mattress is in a slightly lifted position. A bit pricey but overall well worth it.
