Some is making a lot of money somewhere. Ultimately charging for bent steel. The chair & motor may have been reused several times over the years. No idea who it’s been used by previously and parts & labour package limitations suggest that it’s lijely to go wrong at some point. My feeling is that all stair lift companies are exploiting disabilities.

Technical problems prevent the installation of a system - but would have been happy to use Harveys
For the many people like me with painful hip or lower back pain or post operative conditions, the hard plastic seat is completely unacceptable . I had to spend £30 on a 4cm memory foam cushion before my first ride. This should be standard.
